AC is lost in the storm

This past July brought with it some of the worst and violent thunderstorms I have ever experienced in our little town. For quite a long length of time, it was pretty much guaranteed that every afternoon, a violent thunderstorm would certainly appear, and I just hoped that they would be earlier in the afternoon and not during my commute from work. I believe thunderstorms are not ultimately that much of a concern, unless you are unlucky enough to get struck by lightning or some such thing as that. However, I will admit that it had led to some drastic flooding such as our little city had not seen in several years. For me and my family, the worst part of the thunderstorms this year was what a lightning strike caused. Both of us all happened to be condo one Thursday day during a loud and scary thunderstorm when the people I was with and I heard the biggest bang ever. The people I was with and I had ever witnessed. It was pretty clear that it hit the home, because all the lights went out as well as the computer. That also meant that the people I was with and I were not going to have air conditioning. All of the rain did not have as much of a cooling effect as anyone would like and it was still a really sizzling July. Both of us ended up spending the rest of the night without any electricity and honestly no air conditioning. It ended up being so miserable; it was a nightmare that night. Both of us were all desperately praying that the air conditioning would miraculously start blowing. Not to mention the fact that the frogs and the crickets were making us lose our minds, never mind not allowing us to catch our zzz’s.There was no Heating, Ventilation and A/C system sound to drown them out.
