Poor workmanship can have bad consequences, and those who do not do what they are supposed to do should not get paid in my opinion! Here is one example in my experience. It was blazing hot last summer time last year and, as usual, all of us made sure to call in an HVAC system specialist, to service our heating as well as cooling unit! When the HVAC specialist arrived, I realized I’d never seen him at all before. This is a small city with 1 HVAC store so most homeowners know all the A/C techs around, and but he said he was new so I invited him in and he set to work, and less than an hour or so later, he said he had done all there was to do on our HVAC unit, and gave me with the bill, our cooling system had stayed unused during the winter and spring, so I assumed he had not found much to fix and paid him what I owed. That evening, all of us turned our air conditioning system on, set the thermostat at a comfortable temperature and went to bed; Imagine our surprise when all of us woke up while sleeping covered in sweat. The HVAC component had conked out only hours after I had paid to ensure it would not. When I called up the employer of HVAC store and told him what happened, he was absolutely sorry and said he would send someone to fix the A/C component soon. I made him promise not to send that same HVAC specialist again.
